Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia is the latest addition to the F1 calendar, with the inaugural Saudi Arabia Grand Prix race which took place in December 5, 2021. This incredible street track boasts three DRS zones and plenty of fast sweeping corners that proved to be one of the quickest circuits of the season. This amazing track is situated in beautiful landscape zone at the water’s edge in Jeddah.
Sela hired Hetzel design to design Jeddah F1 Promenade – a landscape zone surrounding the track with all support facilities. The biggest challenge was incredibly compressed schedule- which left us two months for design (concept-DD), followed by similarly abbreviated construction phase. Hetzel Design team took charge of the overall masterplan and architectural design of all facilities surrounding the track (mostly restaurants and retail).
